A Day In Lorne
Lorne is about an hours drive from Geelong along the Great Ocean Road. Just traveling along the Great Ocean Road makes Lorne a worthwhile destination alone. Lorne is a very popular seaside destination and quite a reasonable size town. It has much better shopping than most beach areas and nearly all of it faces the ocean. |
Lorne offers a great surf beach directly opposite the town with lifesavers present during the summer months. You can have a swim, duck across the road for a drink or something to eat, then straight back onto the beach again. Must Try Dining The Pier Restaurant - Lorne Obviously specialising in seafood and lots of it. Full dining at night offering sumptuous seafood meals (and other meals for those who just won't eat seafood). Light lunches and coffee all day. Perfect location at the start of the Lorne Pier.
