Shopping in Daylesford is a breeze.  Nearly all the shopping is in Vincent Street or Howe Street.  The shopping is aimed at the Melbourne market so it's a lot more sophisticated than most country destinations.

The Avant Garden Bookshop
Halfway down Vincent Street is a delightful bookshop that you can get lost in for hours at a time.  It's called the Avant Garden Bookshop and it offers fourteen rooms absolutely crammed with new and second hand books, comics, magazines and ephemera, as well as second-hand records (great for collectors of 33 rpm albums), as well as compact discs, videos and D.V.D's.

Benjamin Bandicoot
One of the survivors of the town as it's been there since I have been visiting Daylesford.  A gift shop offering cards, clothes, novelties, home wares, accessories, clocks and executive gifts.  There really is a lot on offer here and I recommend a visit.

The Convent Gallery
Three stories of art, jewelry and collectables. Surrounded by manicured gardens and housed within the original convent (plus some extensions) this is one place I recommend to all visitors of Daylesford. Cafe and Bar as well.
