I have been finding it very hard to get a decent cake and coffee lately - disappointed in several towns over the last few weeks.
My faith was finally restored in the main street of Daylesford, Vincent Street with a devonshire tea at Sweet Decadence. Two near perfect mineral water scones with plenty of jam and cream to put on top.
Fortunately for my partner the chocolate hedgehogs were back on the menu and were superb. Accompanied by two very well made cappuccinos and a good time was had by all.

Must Try Massage and Spa
Peppershell Place
One of the most inexpensive day spas in the town offering packages exclusively for two (not one, not three, just two). Very popular with couples and mother daughter outings and you get the place entirely to yourself for the duration of your package. You can have relaxation, shiatsu or deep tissue massage, with or without a spa. Highly recommended, especially their specials.

Must Try Attraction
Lake Daylesford
The Daylesford Lake is not a natural body of water but rather a man made lake having been originally gold diggings until exhausted and then an extensive Chinese Market Garden with Chinese village, Joss House and store. In 1883 it was envisaged to turn the area into a lake and construction finally began in 1927. more on attractions
